Forty Something Forever
A Consumer's Guide to Chelation Therapy and other Heart Savers

by Harold & Arline Bracher

The following is an extract referring to Matol/Km appearing in the publication Forty Something Forever, A Consumer's Guide to Chelation Therapy and other Heart Savers, by Harold & Arline Bracher Co-author of Bypassing Bypass, Pages 275 & 276, 1992.

Given the public's appetite for harmless ingredients, and their aversion to unsafe substances, we can appreciate the rapidly growing popularity of a 'new' - really 'old' - herbal formula that appears to be just what the public has been seeking. While writing this book several nutritionally-oriented doctors we'd been in touch with over the years, called our attention to a potassium-rich liquid, Km by name - (a 60 year old formula produced by Matol, Inc. of Canada). He recommend it as a reliable natural means of satisfying mineral requirements and 'upping' energy levels. A closer study of the ingredients that make up this unique botanical formula, suggests it provides much, much more.

According to the product literature, Km is concocted from 14 herbs: chamomile flower, saw palmetto berry, cascara sagrada, angelica root, thyme, passion flower, gentian root, licorice root, horehound root, senega root, celery seed, sarsaparilla root, alfalfa and dandelion root.

Check any recently published herbal guide, as we did, and you'll discover that the herbs mentioned are rich in the antioxidant Vitamins A, C, and E; in the nerve-regulating B-complex nutrients; they're abundant sources of the essential minerals, calcium, magnesium, manganese and potassium, in iron, other trace minerals and indispensable oils as well as unidentified plant byproducts. All of which seems to add up to Km being the closest simulation yet to the "oral chelate" so many have been seeking for so long a time.

Make no mistake. The term 'oral chelate' is probably a misnomer, inasmuch as nothing but a genuine infusion of EDTA will systematically remove the heavy metals circulating through the blood stream. The intravenous procedure is surely preferable when heart has deteriorated to the point where surgical intervention has been suggested, or there is some indication free-radical pathology has progressed to a point requiring strenuous remedies.

But if your health is not that far gone, or you are seeking all-round supplementation to rejuvenate and revitalize yourself. Km is probably the most "user-friendly" nutritional product to be found. Its ingredients, being natural, work in harmony with each other and within the body. When herbal preparations are free of binders and fillers, more of their beneficial properties get into the bloodstream.

It's possible a superior concoction will emerge someday. Until it does, we take Km for the simplest reason - we haven't found anything better. We haven't found anything nearly as good.
